Wirksworth Festival

If anyone doesn’t know what to do with themselves this weekend, it’s the art trail at Wirksworth Festival on Saturday and Sunday. Many of the homes/buildings in Wirksworth open their doors to an artist. You buy a badge and get your map and off you go. Venues are marked with balloons to help you find your way – and the doors are open. Not only do you get to see a wide variety of work (and have the chance to buy), but you get to have a bit of a nosey at the inside of people’s houses as well. And if you can get yourself up Green Hill – the view is amazing.

While you’re there, call in at Wirksworth library where Helen Hallows will be displaying her work. Helen is doing a course at BEANS in the new year.

Class Schedules Announced

The first art classes and craft workshops have been scheduled. Individual course descriptions have been posted to the Courses Page and our Booking Request Form should now be operational – but just to be safe, please be sure to call us (07815 697555) if you would like to attend a class.

Opening Soon

Windows will be replaced, stairs rebuilt, plumbing, electrical and joinery work is going to begin, and we are working on a leaflet to introduce some of the artists who will be joining us and the art classes scheduled for December and the new year. Our Web site continues to evolve and you are welcome to post your public comments in our blog or submit your personal comments and suggestions in our contact form – hopefully, they both work;-)
